Funerals are set for a Maryland firefighter and an FBI agent killed in a tragic series of crashes on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County last Friday.
Friends and family will gather in Gaithersburg, Maryland, to remember 11-year FBI veteran Supervisory Special Agent Carlos Wolff.
A funeral also will be held for deputy chief and volunteer firefighter Sander Cohen in Rockville, Maryland, who died trying to help Wolff. He’ll be celebrated with full honors as someone who died in the line of duty.
Both services are planned for 11 a.m. Thursday.
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan will speak at Cohen’s funeral at B’nai Israel Congregation at 6301 Montrose Rd. in Rockville. The service is open to the public. Holgan has ordered the state flag to be lowered to half-staff.
