Helmet-cam video and radio traffic from Adam St. John recorded during a two-alarm garden apartment fire Tuesday at 2941 Hewitt Avenue in the Aspen Hill area of Montgomery County, Maryland. Here’s Adam’s description with the video:

Units arrived to find significant fire throughout a corner apartment, with extension to the soffit and attic. A precautionary 2nd alarm was sounded by command. The fire alarm was not activated prior to fire department arrival and several residents were removed from their apartments. The fire was quickly knocked from the main stairwell. Wheaton Battalion Chief Brett Russel had Division Three command responsibilities while Rescue Squad 742 performed a search of the entire structure and secured utilities. The fire was contained to a single apartment and no injuries were reported.
