Four firefighters were injured in a three-alarm fire in Brooklyn early Monday morning.
Dramatic video shows part of the roof of the building falling onto firefighters as they battled this raging fire in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
FDNY officials said the blaze began around 12:33 a.m. in a brownstone building on Jefferson Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard. The fire then spread to two neighboring brownstones.
A 20-foot section of the roof fell onto four firefighters as they were evacuating the building. They were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Nicole Hensley, New York Daily News:
Then, a chunk of the building’s fiery facade collapsed onto a group of firefighters below, as seen in a video from ABC 7.
One of the firefighters was treated outside the three-story home, while three more were sent to Kings County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
