Below are some of the tweets from the DC Fire & EMS Department about a fire that started yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at the District Properties Luxury Home Builders warehouse adjacent to the CSX and Metro tracks in Northwest Washington. The fire continues to burn this morning, more than 14-hours later, with cars falling into the building from a parking deck on the roof. After the order to defensive operations a decision was made to shut down Metro’s Red Line and the CSX tracks during the evening rush hour. Trains were later allowed to run at a reduced speed through the area. That continues this morning.
