A recently evicted tenant is being called “a person of interest” as arson investigators look into what caused a massive 2-alarm apartment fire on the Northwest Side.

San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood says the decision was made quickly to pull all the firemen out of the building due to the massive amount of flames and the instability of the building itself. Firefighters then turned their attention to the nearby buildings, one of which already had fire on the roof. They worked to protect the two nearby buildings from any more damage from the fire, as the roof collapses on the main building on fire.
