Watch the video (above) from a house fire yesterday (Monday) afternoon in the 600 block of 26th Avenue West in Bradenton, Florida. A man, apparently concerned about then ten dogs inside, was tackled by a police officer at the front door to prevent him from going in the burning home with firefighters. More video below. Thanks to Shane Shifflett for sharing his video.

Shane Shifflett, a firefighter from Georgia who is on vacation here in Florida, told News Channel 8 he saw several animals rescued from the home.
Shifflett sent us several pictures and videos showing firefighters working to save small dogs by giving them oxygen.
He also said a man at the scene tried to run back into the burning home. That man can be seen and heard on video trying to enter the home while saying, “that’s my dog.”
