Video, above, from Kirk Neidermyer at 3rd Alarm Photography (Facebook page here) from a fire late last (Thursday) night on S. Maple Street in Ephrata, Pennsylvania (Lancaster County) that damaged two duplexes and injured a firefighter. The first video, below, from Dalton Kuhn at www.MAKINTHEHIT.com focuses on when an injured firefighter was brought to safety. Reports indicate the firefighter was treated and released.
Cigarettes discarded in a plastic container on a wooden porch caused a fire that displaced six families late Thursday, police said.
Ephrata police said a brisk breeze caused the fire to spread rapidly to two duplexes in the first block of South Maple Street after 10 p.m.
Just before 11 p.m., a firefighter was injured and taken out of the building with possible burns.
Everyone then evacuated the building and a medic was called to help the injured firefighter.
