WTTG-TV/FOX 5 is reporting the arrest of a DC Fire & EMS Department firefighter on armed robbery and assault charges. The off-duty arrest of Davon Moore occurred on December 20 in Montgomery County, Maryland. The charges against the four-year member of the department also include firearm use and theft. DC Fire & EMS Department confirmed for the TV station that Moore is on leave pending the outcome of these charges.

This marks at least the third time since the summer that a DC Fire & EMS Department firefighter has been arrested for an off-duty gun incident. In June, Firefighter Adam Krause was arrested in Pennsylvania and charged with a hate crime where he is accused of waving his gun at another driver during what has been described as a road rage incident. In early November, Firefighter Michael Huskins was charged with driving under the influence and carrying a gun while under the influence. At the time, police also reported Huskins was a suspect in a Southeast Washington crash.
