From DC Fire & EMS on Facebook yesterday (Thursday):

A Box Alarm was sounded at 5:35 PM after several calls were received reporting flames coming from atop 1348 H Street NE, a two story commercial building. First arriving units reported fire showing, and a Working Fire Dispatch was immediately requested.

Firefighters worked their way up to the roof to find a deck and bar area well involved. The first attack lines were able to quickly extinguish the blaze before it could spread downwards into the structure itself.

There were no injuries, and fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
