The fire reportedly started in the basement but the cause is still under investigation.
According to officials, the firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries. They were all transported to area hospitals.
One firefighters suffered second-degree burns, five others suffered burns to their face and body.
“No homes threatened, the adjacent home had some smoke damage, but no one was home at the time, this could have been a lot worse, we definitely don’t want to tell the story that we have injured firefighters but we’re fortunate they had minor injuries,” said Blair Skinner, spokesperson for Baltimore City Fire.
