Here is early video (above) from a commercial fire Friday on Merced Avenue in El Monte, California. The news helicopter video shows Los Angeles County firefighters cutting though a bay door to mount an interior attack. They are soon pulled out for defensive operations that included dealing with what appears to be a rolling flammable liquids fire at one end of the building. At 16:40 into the video you will see there had been some sort of failure of the ladder pipe of the TDA set up on the street side of the building.
Another video (below), by Steven V, captured the failure as it occurred. It’s cued to that point. Watch closely in the upper left portion of the screen.
