Pre-arrival video (above) from a fire this (Monday) afternoon in a parking lot at Tanger Outlets in East Lampeter Township, Pennsylvania near Lancaster. The fire was at a construction site to repair a large sinkhole that opened up in the parking lot last summer.
A commercial vehicle burst into flames, according to emergency dispatchers.
The fire occurred in the area of a hole that opened in the parking lot in August, partially swallowing six cars. It grew to about 170 feet long and 60 feet wide, encompassing 17 parking spaces, and repairs have been underway. Work was expected to be finished by July, according to a May report from LNP/LancasterOnline.
Firefighters responded at about 4:20 p.m. to what was a report of a vehicle fire at Tanger Boulevard and Lincoln Highway East. Fire from the vehicle spread to material that was being used to build a new detention basin.
