Early video: Fiery crash between FDNY EMS & NYPD in Brooklyn

Four injured in Sunday collision at Brownsville intersection

Early videos from a fiery collision yesterday (Sunday) afternoon in Brownsville, Brooklyn between a FDNY EMS ambulance and a NYPD SUV. Two police officers and two from FDNY EMS were injured.. One EMS worker was listed in serious condition.

The crash occurred at about 2:15 p.m. when a police vehicle from Transit District 33 was responding to a 911 call of a person armed with a firearm and were traveling east on Fulton Street. The ambulance was rushing to a cardiac arrest traveling north on Rockaway Avenue.

Both vehicles were said to be traveling with lights and sirens, but had no way they were approaching. However, police are investigating the cause of the crash.

An NYPD cruiser and EMS vehicle were involved in an accident earlier today at around 2:30 pm. Both were responding to separate jobs where they then collided.
