Video from Paul Keane taken during a house fire Monday morning in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
Numerous volunteer fire departments from the area assisted the Waynesboro Police Department in battling the blaze at 1301 Briarwood Drive. Once upon the scene, according to WFD Chief Willard “Buster” Crocker, it was learned that the fire had started in the attic of the laundry room. Crocker said firefighters could not immediately reach the source of the fire, and the blaze spread quickly throughout the structure.
At one point, loud bangs and mini explosions were heard. According to Crocker, there were thousands of rounds of ammunition located in the house, and firefighters took extra precautions to avoid any potential injury.
