UPDATE FROM KENTLAND VFD (via website):

This morning while Tower 33 was on the air it had a fire in the motor compartment. Fortunately, no crew members were injured, and the fire was quickly extinguished, preventing further damage to the Tower. The Tower has been taken to PGFD Apparatus Maintenance Division for inspection. Company 33 has been placed in a Reserve Truck, which is in service. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Stay tuned for updates on our website as they come in.

Kentland VFD Tower 833 was seriously damaged during a fire this (Wednesday) morning while on a response in Prince George’s County, MD. The rig is a 2011 Segrave Aerialscope. In 2015. Kentland’s rescue engine was destroyed when it got caught in a wind pushed fire in a storage area behind a warehouse.
