Early video from Prince George’s County (MD) Fire/EMS Department Chief Spokesman Mark Brady taken at a house fire yesterday (Monday) in the Kettering section of the county.

At around 4:45 pm, Monday, February 23, Firefighters were alerted to a house fire in the 12800 block of Princeleigh Street in Kettering (Upper Marlboro mailing address).. Firefighters from Largo Fire/EMS Station 846 and Battalion Chief 881 were the first to arrive and found a 1-story single family home with smoke showing from the front and fire showing from a kitchen window in the rear.

The fire was quickly contained and extinguished. Fire loss is estimated at $100,000 and 2 adults and 3 children will be displaced.

The fire started in the kitchen and the exact cause is under investigation.

One firefighter sustained and shoulder injury and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
