A West Virginia Air National Guard Airman has died from fatal injuries, during a mutual aid response call to a structure fire with the 167th Fire Department on Sunday morning.
According to a press release from the West Virginia National Guard, this service member was assigned to the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg.

News from Firefighter Close Calls that a firefighter was killed and others injured during a fire in the Kearneysville, West Virginia area. Here’s the report:
Grim news this morning out of the eastern panhandle area of West Virginia (I-81 area south of the Maryland line, west of the DC area) where a Firefighter was killed in the Line of Duty at a fire in the area of Kearneysville during the night. Initial reports are that members were operating at a structure fire and there was a collapse of some kind. Several Firefighters were seriously injured and one Firefighter died in the Line of Duty.
