Shot fired in Connecticut firehouse leads to firefighter suspension

Police investigating gun shot at Pine Rock Park Fire Company 4 in Shelton

A firefighter with the Pine Rock Park Fire Company No. 4 has been suspended and a police investigation is underway after a shot was fired inside the firehouse. The incident occurred on September 8 at the fire station at 722 Long Hill Avenue in Shelton, Connecticut.

Not a lot of explanation about what occurred at this point. The fire department confirms no one was injured but there was some damage at the fire station. A deputy chief tells the Stamford Advocate they don’t condone this incident. The Shelton Police Department is investigating.

Police Det. Chris Nugent confirmed that the incident is under investigation. Nugent said police were informed by the Pine Rock Park Fire Company No. 4 captain of a gun being fired at the firehouse.
