STATter 911 first told you yesterday afternoon that a broken neck led to the asphyxiation of Ronnie White, the 19-year-old accused of killing Cpl. Richard Findley. White was found dead in his cell in Upper Marlboro, MD on Sunday morning.

Findley, who was also a life member of the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department, was run over by a stolen pickup truck on Friday.

In an unusual 9:00 PM press conference, Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson reacted to the stunning developments of the last four days. Click above to watch 9NEWS NOW reporter Nancy Yamada’s report from the press conference.

At the Beltsville VFD on Monday, the concern of many is these latest events will overshadow the attempts to honor their friend and fellow firefighter. Crews are making preparations for Wednesday’s viewing and Thursday’s funeral. The plan is for Rich Findley to take his final ride aboard one of Beltsville’s engines, escorted by his fellow police officers and firefighters.

Here are arrangements for Cpl./FF Findley:

Viewing: Wednesday July 2, 2008 at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Rd, Beltsville, 2:00-4:00 PM, 7:00-9:00 PM, FD Service at 8:00 PM
