Shocking! Disturbing! Party photo brings criticism of fire service website publisher

BUY TICKETS NOT FOR BIRTHDAY/ANNIVERSARY BASH TO SUPPORT NFFF

Okay, I screwed up. I’ve corrected the problem and will make sure it doesn’t happen again. Isn’t that what that Statter guy teaches in his media classes and whines about on his website?

Here’s the full story. I am having a party to celebrate STATter911.com’s 8th anniversary. And yes, it’s also to mark my official entry into geezerdom (I know 60 is like the new 40, but in my case it’s like the new 80).

When I published the uncensored version of the party baby photo on my personal Facebook page the comments started rolling in. “I can never un-see this.” “I need to bleach my eyes.” “How disturbing.” Okay, I got the message. I had my friend Jenni McClelland do a little Photoshop magic and this is the result (above).

Hopefully it’s a little less disturbing and you will join us on Sunday April 12 at Mr. Smith’s in Georgetown from 5pm to 9pm. I promise a lot of fun and good people. Your money … every bit of it … is going to a good cause, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Please buy tickets now. Click here.

Even if you can’t be there, I would be honored if you would contribute to NFFF in honor of STATter911. There is a box for “additional donation” at the same link. Click here.

And if all this doesn’t sway you … if you don’t buy tickets or contribute … I will re-release the uncensored image.
